Career paths are rarely ever straightforward, and everyone's journey will unfold in different ways. Career Compass can help you start to find your way.
Designed for students of all years, Career Compass is a tool to help you explore the wide range of career opportunities available and to connect you with resources, opportunities and alumni who can help. Your career isn't dictated by your course of study, so don't let that limit your exploration.
The Career Fields section contains details on dozens of different fields, intended to help you discover new options or learn more about areas that interest you. In addition to a brief description of the field itself, it includes:
- Examples of job titles and roles
- Ways you can gain relevant experience
- Hiring process and timeline
- Common related post-graduate degrees
- Profiles of Princeton alumni in related careers
The searchable profiles featured on this site illustrate the diverse paths and experiences of Princeton alumni. In addition to detailing their academic and co-curricular activities at Princeton, alumni candidly share their professional experience, skills they use in their work, how they navigated their career path and what a day in the life of their job is like. Many of the featured alumni encourage students to get in touch with them, and they can be contacted directly through their profile.
